Function:
a. Grievance Handling:

c. Policy Advocacy:
- Advocate for the development and enforcement of policies, guidelines, and protocols that promote gender equity, prevent gender-based discrimination, and ensure the safety and well-being of women.
- Review and recommend changes to existing policies and procedures to address gaps or shortcomings in addressing women’s grievances effectively.
d. Support and Counseling:
- Offer support, counseling, and guidance to women who have experienced harassment, discrimination, or any other form of gender-based misconduct.
- Provide access to resources, services, and referrals to legal, medical, or psychological assistance as needed to address women’s grievances and concerns.
Goals:
a. Safe and Inclusive Environment:

- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to gender equality, sexual harassment prevention, and women’s rights, such as the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013.
- Hold accountable individuals or entities found responsible for perpetrating gender-based discrimination, harassment, or misconduct, imposing appropriate sanctions and disciplinary measures.
d. Empowerment and Support:

Role:
a. Complaint Registration:

- Ensure that complaints are registered promptly and investigated impartially, following established procedures and protocols.
b. Investigation and Resolution:
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into reported grievances, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and documenting findings.
- Facilitate mediation, conciliation, or other forms of conflict resolution to address grievances and reach mutually acceptable solutions.
c. Awareness and Education:
- Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to educate the college community about gender issues, women’s rights, and the college’s grievance redressal mechanisms.
- Provide training to committee members, faculty, and staff on recognizing, preventing, and responding to gender-based discrimination and harassment effectively.
d. Advocacy and Collaboration:
- Advocate for the needs and interests of women within the college community, collaborating with college authorities, student organizations, and external stakeholders to promote gender equity and women’s empowerment.

Duties:
a. Confidentiality and Sensitivity:
- Handle women’s grievances with utmost confidentiality, sensitivity, and empathy, ensuring the privacy and dignity of complainants and witnesses throughout the grievance redressal process.
- Provide a safe and non-judgmental space for women to share their experiences, express their concerns, and seek support without fear of reprisal or retaliation.
b. Timely Response:
- Respond promptly to women’s grievances, acknowledging receipt, and initiating investigations or resolution procedures in a timely manner to prevent further harm or escalation of the situation.
- Keep complainants informed about the status of their grievances, the progress of investigations, and the outcomes of redressal efforts to maintain transparency and accountability.
c. Follow-up and Support:
- Follow up with complainants to ensure that their grievances have been adequately addressed and resolved to their satisfaction, providing ongoing support and assistance as needed.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective measures or preventive actions to prevent the recurrence of similar grievances in the future and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
d. Documentation and Reporting:
